Personality Test – What do your Captions say about you?

What can One Image and One Word alone say about our personality? Image and Word are two representations that can take us very deep in our subconscious (Freud takes a close look at this in “The Ego and the ID” – among others – and Carl Jung in “Man and his Symbols”). Now let us build our own perspective on it. Please take a look at the featured picture, and pick the title that best describes how this picture makes you feel:

  1. Life
  2. Afterlife
  3. Scary
  4. Journey
  5. Meaning

Interpretations:

Personality Test – What’s your Life Purpose? – Part 1

What is your purpose in the world? Let us come a little closer to the answer – please read the quotes below and choose the one that you feel resonates more with your deepest beliefs:

  1. “Effort and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” John F. Kennedy
  2. “The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.” Sydney J. Harris
  3. “My purpose: to lift your spirit and to motivate you.” Mavis Staples
  4. “There’s a divine purpose behind everything – and therefore a divine presence in everything.” Neale Donald Walsch
  5. “The purpose of our lives is to be happy.” Dalai Lama

Interpretations:

  1. You’re the very definition of Driven, Strong and Makes-An-Impression. Whoever you work for or with – in case you’re freelance or a businessperson – is a winner. You’re reliable, efficient and tailored for success. You may do well in business or medicine – and these are only two major examples.
  2. You’re a kind person, and you may be patient. You’re profound and wise, and – as your choosing this quote clearly states – you may be a good teacher, writer or philosopher. You may be a good communicator; you sometimes talk a lot, sometimes it’s hard to get a word out of you, but you always manage to convey your meaning.
  3. You have a talent to impress people and to determine them to listen to you because you have a way with both words and gestures; you may want to make sure your drive to motivate people doesn’t stem from repressed vanity though; you may do well as a coach, a therapist or teacher.
  4. You believe in divinity, and you feel its presence strongly; you may place quite some value on fate, which gave you reason to believe in it by proving its presence in your life quite often; it may be that your purpose is a purely spiritual one; you may do well as a counselor, social worker, or you may be talented at dealing with difficult people, such as underage offenders; even though not regarded as a real job in our way-too-money-focused world, you make a really good friend.
  5. You’re a person who focuses on the essential; you’re well-grounded and sophisticated, simple and elegant, deep and a person of few words; you’re dual from a number of points of view; you may have trouble with worldly purpose such as money-making, since you tend to do only what you like; you may not know this, but deep down you’re a rebellious nature, and you often rebel against yourself – like when you decide to do something and then you go ahead and do the exact opposite.

Personality Test – What do your Death quotes say about you?

Last time we looked at what our Love Quotes say about our personality, and I promised that today a personality test on Death Quotes would follow, since Eros (Love) and Thanatos (Death) are so closely related to each other. This is the first of a series of two personality tests based on your Death Quotes, so this is only layer 1. Scratching the surface. What you have to do is read the following quotes and let yourself feel which one resonates best with who you are:

  1. “A man who lives fully is prepared to die anytime.” Mark Twain
  2. “It’s not death a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.” Marcus Aurelius
  3. All our knowledge merely helps us to die a more painful death than animals that know nothing.” Maurice Maeterlinck
  4. Death is a delightful hiding place for weary men.” Herodotus
  5. I’m not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.” Woody Allen

Interpretations:

  1. You love and enjoy your life or, if you don’t, you’re totally capable of doing so if only you could delegate some of your responsibilities; you believe there is so much to enjoy and appreciate, and you may have little patience for whiny brats; people may love to be around you for your positive nature; you rarely complain.
  2. You appreciate the light in life; you may have had to put up with too much hardship; you may be the type of person who’s very responsible, the kind of person people come to when they need a solution, counsel or money; you’re the strong and reliable one, with a positive approach to life.
  3. You’re deep and maybe a bit dark; you’re as strong and reliable as #4, but you’re grimmer, and you have an appreciation of the heavy; you may feel that overly positive people are either phony or stupid, and you don’t have much tolerance for triumphant speeches, candy or pink ribbons.
  4. You’re an experienced, wise person who listens more than they talk, and who’s learned to master both their drives and emotions; you may have turned into an intellectual, and you appreciate like-minded people; you’re a person of reason, and you love civilization, good old wine/scotch and harmony.
  5. You’re well grounded in reality, you have a refreshing spirit, you’re witty and often funny; people love to be around you because they get such a good vibe from you; you’re the kind of person people resonate with, and you may be generally well-liked, especially when acting like yourself.

Personality Test – What do your Anger quotes say about you?

Long time no personality test, so let’s have a special one before we start off into a well-deserved weekend. Since some weeks can be quite demanding (I know mine has been), anger can be unavoidable. So let’s relax, sink into our cushions and explore our subconscious mind to discover what our attitude to Anger says about us.

Read the quotes below – which one represents your feelings about anger?

  1. You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger. (Buddha)
  2. Speak when you are angry, and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever get. (Laurence J. Peter)
  3. People won’t have time for you if you are always angry or complaining. (Stephen Hawking)
  4. When I am angry I can pray well and preach well. (Martin Luther)
  5. No man can think clearly when his fists are clenched. (George Jean Nathan)

Interpretations:

  1. You know how poisonous anger can be for the soul, you’ve probably experienced this poison quite a few times; you may be a patient person, often kind, but you’ve been in some dark places not everyone experiences in life.
  2. You feel anger is creative; it’s a driving force for you, and you may even seek the feeling when you need a kick; you’re not afraid of anger, you can deal well with it and use it to advantage; you may think that people are more attracted to you when you’re angry.
  3. You’re a positive and probably busy person; you have responsibility and sometimes worry, you deal well with it, but when you unwind you prefer it light and funny; it may get on your nerves when people get too philosophical because it tires you.
  4. Similar to number 2, anger helps you channel your inner strength, which you use to learn and convey lessons; you try to stay humble and grounded; you may be a good influence for the young, and people may come to you for advice.
  5. Reason is high up in your value system; you admire efficiency and cool-headed approaches; you’re open minded and accepting, you may even militate for people’s right to be different and express themselves; you could be an engineer as well as a therapist.

Personality Test – What do your Money Quotes say about You?

Time for another special personality test! Today we’ll look at what your attitude to money says about you. Please read the quotes below – which one sounds more true to you? Your choice will say something about you . . .

  1. “The lack of money is the root of all evil.” – Mark Twain/George Bernard Shaw
  2. “Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it won’t replace you as the driver.” – Ayn Rand
  3. “I have always been afraid of banks.” – Andrew Jackson
  4. “If I have enough money to eat I’m good.” – Shia LaBeuuf
  5. “Never spend your money before you have earned it.” – Thomas Jefferson.

Interpretations:

  1. You’re wise about money, and even though you’re totally NOT avaricious or in love with money, you know you can’t live without it; you’re realistic, dependable and strong; you feel good about yourself when you earn money, because it makes you feel you’re strong enough to master the system.
  2. You’re idealistic and sometimes you wonder about this invention called money. To you, it’s more of a matter of philosophy. It doesn’t interest nor does it bother you that it exists, but you’re a freedom lover, and need of money is a restriction you’d rather people didn’t have.
  3. You’re probably more of an artist and an intellectual; you may be highly intelligent, but financial and technical progress might be a challenge to you; on the other hand, this shows that you’re wary of the inventions of powerful people – they did a lot of harm before.
  4. You have a rather utilitarian kind of thinking, or you’re concerned with matters much above trivial greed and craving of luxury; you may be above the trivial in quite a number of ways, and you may see way beyond them; you’re well-grounded and sort of intellectually “elevated” at the same time.
  5. You’re definitely money savvy – or at least money talented; grounded and smart, reliable and hard-working, present and cautious, your mind works like a Swiss watch; you’re mature and mostly right, so you have every reason to be confident.
