With a background in psycholinguistics, Ana Calin has always been fascinated by the tortured antihero. You’ll always find one in her paranormal romances, ranging from Dracula’s beautiful but cursed younger brother to the hot vampire popstar with a secret history of abuse. Be prepared for deals with sexy demons, enemies-to-lovers affairs with fae princes and always, but always expect a twist that you won’t see coming until the end. Ana Calin likes to think of her novels as experiences that will make her readers feel like they’re IN the story, living it out along with the characters. But that’s not the only way she uses her experience in psycholinguistics.

Hi Ana, thank you for following my blog!
What are some of your most favorite books of all time?
Ohhhh, there I could write a novel LOL. Okay, let’s see. Some books that come to mind instantly are:
1. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Luis Zafon
2. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco (though I’m not crazy about his other works)
3. The Cormoran Strike Series (J.K. Rowling as Robert Galbraith)
4. Freud’s Introduction in Psychoanalysis, the Wolf Man, the Psychology of Love
5. Everything by C.G. Jung
These jump to mind on the spot. And what are your favorite books? – of all times or otherwise 🙂
Oh you are so witty and your #1 book choice is superb, I think I’m going to love this blog, I don’t need to see anymore before I click on the follow button 🙂

Anything with ‘psychology’ in the title interests me. Have you studied it in some depth, or is it just personal interest?
Hi Georgie, I can say I studied it in quite some depth 🙂 My mom is a psycho-analyst and I’m a translator with focus on pharma and psych. I guess I’ve sucked Freud with milk from my momma’s breast 🙂
Interesting! I have two degrees in Psychology, I taught to A level standard for many years, and marked exam papers. Love Freud!
That’s awesome! I love Freud too, but I guess in a different way than most people. I think he made a lot of observations about concepts built-in in the psyche, but not that he meant to go ahead and “fix” them, as they are building blocks of the human psyche. It took my mother years to understand that.
Interesting! My young students were often fascinated by Freud.
He polarizes, we have to give him that 🙂
I took a number of your tests and found them fascinating. Amazon sent a sample of one of your stories on Amazon. It looks very interesting. For some reason Safari won’t open the links to your stories etc. on your website.
I’m so glad you enjoy the tests, Katja! I have a couple of more posts scheduled this week. The stories, yes, the links seem to be broken. It seems it has to do with my having changed the domain name, but I’m working to fix it.
Hello Ana, I’ve nominated you for the Mystery Bloggers Award http://garydlum.com/2017/04/29/mystery-bloggers-award/
Oh, that’s so wonderful of you, dear Gary, thanks so much!
My pleasure Ana
Hi Ana, I enjoyed reading your books I couldn’t stop I jumped to the book once I finished the book I was reading . I finished the the Dracula bloodline series, dragon and magnificent beast series too.. Waiting for the final books in these series… 😍

Hi Ana, I just finished the Fae of Fire and Ash Series it was exciting… I can’t wait for Duke Draven series 😍
Thank you so much! As a matter of fact, I am working on Draven’s kind’s series as we speak. Legends of the fae is the series and, if everything goes well, the first book will be released by the end of this month. The first book is about Prince Salazar, the second one will be about King Corvin, and Duke Draven’s book will be third.
