Tell me your favorite Motto, and I’ll tell you who you are

A fellow blogger who’s inspired me to the Meet and Greet Saturday, has inspired me today once more. A while back I offered my oldest blog friends free personal profiles based on their birth data and life motto. As a profiler I’ve discovered that people’s mottos say a whole lot about their personalities, a fact that fascinated and intrigued me. You can learn a lot about a person by analyzing their life motto. Please leave your favorite motto in a comment and I’ll get back at you with three things your chosen motto says about you.

Also, if you have a special someone, a crush you’d like to know more about, tell me their life motto and I’ll tell you some of the traits they most probably like in a potential partner.

Be sure to subscribe to my blog by e-mail to receive notifications each time a new post comes up. Tomorrow a new personality quiz is up, a new gate to discovering more about yourself. Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. There are 3 actually
“The best feeling of happiness is when your happy because you made someone happy”
“Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you”
    Dont talk,just act
    Dont say,just show
Dont promise, just prove”mainly the last part..

    Its kinda in order

    1. You live to be happy (obviously from your answer), but based on your choices from before it means you find happyness through love, through being in love, through possibility of a fairytale and an open future that you often dream of. You’re demonstrative.

    1. πŸ™‚ This says about you that you’re good at getting over hurdles, which is a great trait. You don’t let hardship bring you down, at least not for good. Sadness is temporary.

    1. Dave, this says about you that you fight for people’s freedom of choice. You value freedom of choice above all else. You cherish control over your own life. Maybe in your past you’ve been temporarily robbed of it, which taught you to value it all the more.

    1. πŸ™‚ This motto shows your innate optimism and says about you that your form of relaxation is dreaming of the future. You may enjoy mindfulness and travel with your mind, which is a rich and pleasant place. You have a positive vibe that feeds those around you.

  2. My life motto is one I have come up with myself,

“I seem to have inadvertently taken the road less traveled but what I want to know is… are you still walking with me, Jesus?”.

    1. This says about you, dear Chris, that you have faith no matter what. You may temporarily lose it or doubt it, but it always returns to you. You instinctively stay away from the easiest road in life. You may feel suspicious of it.

  3. Wow! Ana, this post hit the spot. A lot of very interesting motto’s and profiles. You already know my motto but I’m happy to share it with anyone that reads it. My motto was ingrained in my mind and spirit through action and witness to the miracle of what can be accomplished against all odds. One has to believe first and through dedicated training and experience, one learns that “Who Dares Wins.” This is the motto of the British Special Air Service, the forefathers of modern special operations. They know and have taught countless others the truth of what they say.

    1. You’re brave, dear muse. Even though you do experience fear, you rarely do second thoughts. You’re determined and go after what you want. You fight for causes you believe just πŸ™‚

    1. πŸ™‚ This motto says about you that learning is your favorite thing in the world. You may be a person who reads for pleasure. You may be a good listener and a good observer, and may also enjoy experimenting once in a while.

      1. I definitely read A LOT and for pleasure too. I’m a psychologist so listening is important! Pretty good. (And I’m a scientist, I like to perform little social experiments on my family heehee)

    1. You may not view yourself as such, but it seems you’re a people lover. You see the good in people and are a team player. You’re brave and face your fears πŸ™‚

    1. Dear Lydia, this says about you that you’ve had some experiences in life in which your beliefs became reality; some of them may have been miracles; you often “think” with your heart, and have good intuition; it doesn’t fail you often πŸ™‚

      1. Thank you! I like to think this is true of me.I have had many bad experiences and they were usually because I believed the worst. And yes, I have had a couple of true miracles.

    1. This says about you that you strive to control your life and its direction; you’re calculated and determined; more cerebral than emotional (!); you try to steer your beliefs, and keep a grip on your subconscious. The word “control” may describe you best.

      1. Wow. ‘ ‘ you try to steer your beliefs, and keep a grip on your subconscious.”
Yes. As a person with OCD, controlling my thought process is something I crave. On the other hand, I’m extremely emotional so this motto helps me stay focused and not allow my emotions to dictate everything.
thank you ..this was very interesting. πŸ™‚

      2. I’m very glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it seems you have earned the control you can now exercise. It’s not something anybody can do πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing!

    1. Etta, you desire to leave something to the world; you crave to make a difference, and work for it; you believe whatever our actions, they reverberate in the universe and trigger responses, positive or negative; you strive to do good.

    1. Your motto shows that you’re a person of action; you ‘re practical, maybe enjoy doing things with your hands; you follow your goals and go directly after what you want.

      1. I have been through a lot of life changes during the past year. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at thirty-six. I have two kids and a husband. I have no choice but to tackle life’s obstacles. I previously wasted too much time in the shadows of life’s insecurities. No more! Also, I am a personal trainer. I am a very physical person. Well done! You read me pretty well. Thank you!

      2. Wow! Much admiration! :* I’m a Type 2 diabetic, all hereditary, but it’s never caused me much trouble to be completely honest. It’s much easier than Type 1, at least for me.

      3. No matter what “type” we have, we have to take care of ourselves. I am the only person in my family with Type 1. We all have our stories. I wish you continued good health!

  4. I have never done that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.
Astrid Lindgren, Pippi Longstocking (missed the beginning in my first post, sorry πŸ™ˆπŸ’œ)

    1. Oh, I see πŸ™‚ It’s the same interpretation, but with slightly more “flowery” edges; you won’t be hard on people when you give them your opinion, you’ll probably consider ways of making the bite sweeter.

    1. Hi Maria πŸ™‚ Not sure I understand. Is this your motto? If so, it means you have artistic inclinations, you’re creative, but also witty and often sharp-tongued.

      1. Sorry, but yes it’s a quote I use in life and see as my motto for how I approach life in general πŸ‘πŸ» your description fits me very well!! Thank you πŸ’œ

    1. It seems you search for meaningful sensations in life; you live for the moments of revelation, epiphany paired with beauty; essence and sensation are tightly linked to you.

    1. Live in the moment! I love it πŸ™‚ It seems this is your form of dealing with hardship; your form of fantasy and relaxation and daydreaming; if you have the ability to grasp and clasp the “now,” it means you have power.

  5. My life motto is definitely “Do what makes you happy & don’t feel guilty if your goals don’t line up with what other people want for you.” It covers writing, travel, and everything else in between. πŸ™‚
I wish I knew my crush’s life motto. I know a few things about him – he likes dogs, but is “tragically” allergic to them & he doesn’t get stressed out at our job because he knows that a customer’s issue is not his fault. If only I knew his motto though. D:

    1. Your motto says about you that you’re bold and have the strength to go after your dreams, but also work for them. You’re not one to just daydream, you take action as often as you get the chance. It seems you’re not very convinced you’re doing the right thing though.
Your crush – ask him his motto, and we can look into it πŸ™‚ Crush, or something going? πŸ™‚ Pray tell. If he likes dogs more than other people it may be that he likes being submitted to.

      1. Hahaha oh noo I hope I’m not crushing on another guy who likes to dominate. That would happen to me. :$ It’s just a crush and most people would view us as a mismatch, but I find him very interesting. Time will tell, or not tell.
That’s a great analysis you made of me. I’m convinced that what I’m doing is right, but I sometimes feel a little guilty because what my family wants for me is so different.

      2. LOL Maybe he tells you his life motto; if he doesn’t let himself be stressed at work he may be a calm person by nature, easy to be with until …. the first quarrel; he may shut himself away from the discussion and give you the sensation you’re talking to a wall; this would be a challenge, but I’m sure it can be overcome. Let’s see what he tells you πŸ™‚

      3. Ooh well, I could definitely see that in him. He accidentally spilled his lunch on himself on Friday and he asked me to stop looking at him… he was super embarrassed. πŸ™ Yes, I’ll have to ask about his motto. I have a way of making conversations deep really quickly. πŸ™‚

    1. Seems you’ve made unpleasant experiences; not all your memories are happy, so to say. You’ve overcome hardship and often lived up to the challenges, but the wounds are still there. You have a tremendously admirable trait – you can appreciate what you have; it’s a noble personality trait.

    1. Dear Daisy, you are bold; you take on hard tasks and often need encouragement; you rarely show the moments when you feel discouraged, but you have them; determined and strong-willed.

    1. Thank you, Eleanor πŸ™‚ This says about you that you’re optimistic and a well of energy for those around you. People may seek your company because of the positive energy they get from you. You may have your moments of sadness, but you’re a serene soul πŸ™‚

      1. Thanks Ana. I am usually very positive, and I do love to help others see the best in things I hope. Quite ironically, I can sometimes be a worrier, and this saying helping me conquer my inner fears. Thank you. Interesting insight. πŸ™‚

      2. I’m glad you enjoyed it, Eleanor πŸ™‚ A worrier, yes, I get that. I have a saying (maybe I should put it in the next Motto post) – better paranoid than dead LOL.

      1. This says, dear Danny, that you work hard on yourself. You’re hard on yourself and maybe often on others too. You may tolerate bluntness, but never disrespect. You have little patience for the lazy.
